Our BeginningWhen she was in 6th grade, Eden participated on a Lego Robotics team through FLL and was presented with that years challenge: Senior Solutions. Her team came up with a "Community Service Kit," a simple app that would allow teens to go into local senior homes and interview active adults, all while receiving community service hours.
Eden's team won the innovation award in the state competition. |
Jewish ConnectionFor her Bat Mitzvah project, Eden hosted several parties for low income Jewish seniors--many of whom came from the Soviet Union and did not have the freedom to celebrate these holidays or even learn about them while growing up.
The seniors enjoyed the parties but lacked more interaction with her, a teenager: hence, Project Genmix was born. |
